11-7-04 Can you find the salmon???? Posted by Hello

11-7-01Chuck watching salmon going up the creek that comes out of Multnomah Falls. It was quite impressive as the water was just full of them and as you can see it's not a big creek! The fish were deadended at the base of the falls and the pool there was just swarming with them. AMAZING!! Posted by Hello

11-7-04 Mt Hood Posted by Hello

11-7-04 When we stopped here to get a picture of Mt Hood with the fall colors in the forefront we spooked a bald eagle who flew down this river and landed somewhere down there. It was cool watching it fly away.....of course I didn't have the camera ready to take a picture!! We saw a lot of smaller animals yesterday on our drive, the wild salmon in the picures above. The eagle at this spot, a coyote, a grey heron, 2 river otters playing around annoying some trout fishermen and the always abounding chipmonks. Was hoping of course to see another bear but think I'm going to have to stop watching for them again for that to happen!!

11-7-04 Chuck & I with Mt Hood in the background...needless to say it was a beautiful drive up the mt. Of all the seasons we've been up there now I think fall will be my favorite! Posted by Hello

11-7-04 This is a view of the southern cascades in Oregon with Mt Jefferson being the large peak in the distance. This one and the next picture were taken from the road going up to Mt Hood. It was fun seeing the fall leaves in the lower elevations and then coming on up to snow. Posted by Hello

11-7-04 We had gone up to Mt Hood to see the fresh snow. They had one of the lifts going yesterday and there seemed to be quite a few skiers up there!  Posted by Hello

11-7-04 Timothy Lake Oregon with Mt Hood in the background. We drove South of Mt Hood and found some great gravel roads...and a little bit of mud. Trout were popping up all around in this lake...needless to say Chuck can't wait to go back with a fishing pole!! The drive ended up being a great new loop for us....so far all you second time visitors next year we are coming up with new places to take you!! Posted by Hello
