2-20-05 Chuck daydreaming about the Roadrunner he used to own at the 2005 Portland Rod & Custom show. The theme this year was Hot Rods & Hollywood, they had cars and a crew from the American Graffiti movie, Verne Troyer("Mini Me")....I had no idea he was as tiny as he is...he looks bigger on tv than he really is!! and cars and host from the Learning Channel's "Overhaulin'" show. It was alot of fun...it's amazing what some of these people have done to there cars!! Posted by Hello

2-20-05 One of the featured attractions at the show this year were 2 of the cars from American Graffiti & 2 of the actors from the movie, Paul Le Mat(leaning on the yellow roadster) & Cindy Williams(far left, sitting at table) Posted by Hello

2-20-05 This year they had a section for custom motorcycles and this was the featured bike. It won an award at the Grand National Roadster Show for "The Most Beautiful Bike of 2005"....I thought that was kind of strange as 2005 is barely 2 months old!! It's called "Wicked Way" and was built by Westbury Hot Rods,Inc. It was fun seeing all the different bikes and after watching American Choppers so much I could appreciate the work that went into them more than I probably would have otherwise! Posted by Hello

2-20-05 Mt St Helens. We spotted her steaming on the way home from the Hot Rod show and pulled over by the college to watch. Scientist had been predicting this as the new uplift was starting to crack and they knew it was going to fall apart any time, it actually started on Friday...Chuck got to see it from the air again! Posted by Hello

2-12-05 These were some Blacktailed deer we saw going from Jewell to Astoria. Right outside of town we spotted another herd of Elk playing in a field of water, they sure were making a racket!! We timed it perfect to get into Astoria for lunch....fish-n-chips at Ships Inn!!! Posted by Hello

2-12-05 Jewell, Oregon Elk ...we spent the morning watching these awesome Bulls, about 29 of them. In a field down the road a bit were alot of cow's and a few young bulls. There's a white one in the herd but we've yet to see it...one of these days!!! Posted by Hello
